Today we have some of the techno releases from the last week you need to listen to…

After releasing several releases op top quality labels like Uto Karem’s Agile and Spartaque’s IAMT, we welcome one of USA’s biggest techno talents James D!! He teamed up with German techno talent Disscutt and they delivered the massive 3 track “Devastate EP” which is a must for every techno enthousiast!!

Drumcode treasures Alan Fitzpatrick and Joel Mull link for their debut collaboration, complemented by a rare Adam Beyer remix. This is special in every sense.

Tis the season for something different; interesting collaborations and the broadening of creative boundaries is the order of the day. Long-time friends and techno colleagues Alan Fitzpatrick and Joel Mull are the latest to connect for a fresh production outing, ‘We Don’t Know Anything’. Inspired by the Buddhist saying ‘Nothing is forever except change’, the duo work alongside the Swedish band Frangie to craft an ascendent techno cut that explores existential questions about the future, all the while being propelled by a strong rhythmic underbelly. 

Beyer’s first remix in two years is inspired. The boss sharpens his focus on the vocal, while teasing out the melody, ripening the track for a mid-morning post-peak-time moment when the sun starts to bathe the dancefloor is a hazy gentle glow. A masterstroke. 

“Listening to the track, it’s obviously very connected to what’s going on in the world right now. When | heard it for the first time, I fell in love with the parts so much I decided to do a remix on the spot. It’s two of the old school crew, so the release is very dear to my heart.” – Adam Beyer

“My Mind” – Deep and melodic, yet hard hitting techno topped with some fruity vocals with an euphoric break that builds up to the climax to finish with a cheeky powerful drop.  
“Hocuspocus” – Raw, dark and hard techno shattered with hypnotic synths and trancy chords that builds up in the break to a massive drop. 

Back again with a 2tracker directly out of my little electronic music studio in Frankfurt “Vicious” features a hypnotic Sawtooth waveform riff that is mangled and moulded upon a no-mercy Techno-fundament. 
Set the planetary dancefloor on fire within 8 minutes and 11 seconds.

Can Techno by funky? “Future” is an attempt to bring a stomping Techno Beat into groovy terrain. With all kinds of FM-Synths, Rave tones and voices that have been grinded and transformed take a deep sound bath and get lost in bass.

ICONYC are pleased to welcome back Kaiser Souzai to the label with his brand new two track ‘Cyclone EP’ to get any dust infused legs shaking. Kaiser Souzai who hails from Berlin and needs no further introduction to the electronic music loving soul, delivers another magnificent EP showcasing his exceptional production skills.

We kick things off with ‘In the Cage’ a peak time techno dance floor monster which features a blend of deep bass tones, driving drum programming, cleverly chopped samples and intricately laced chord progressions, building to a massive breakdown before rebuilding to an unrelenting crescendo of energetic drum beats, chord stabs and an ever-warped bassline. ‘In the Cage’ is a club monster that growls from the minute you push the play button. 

The accompanying track ‘Glazer’ is another pumping club affair utilizing a hypnotizing synth chord as the basis of the track, before all manner of varied melodies weave in and out of the stereo field to close out this wonderful 2 track release in style. Kaiser Souzai reinforces his reputation as one the scenes most consistent techno performers and once again showcases his huge array of production skills. Incredible stuff!

April the 30th meets German Techno legend Tom Wax to be back with his two peak time tracks & his unique signature sound.
POWR TO THE PEOPLE impresses with massive beats and a melodic fierce breakdown.
ALONE WITH MY MUSIC surprises with a chord driven atmospheric breakdown, that gives the tune a special vibe.
