Navar returns to the label with double A-side Herinneringen/A Sun Kissed Novel.
Continually impressive since his debut on Klopfgeist in 2010.
Navar has amassed an enviable back catalogue on some of the scenes biggest imprints including Lost & Found, microCastle and Balance Music. “My music is a reflection of my feelings,” Navar says, “It comes from a genuine place that I want people to connect with.”
And connect we do. Famed for his soulfulness, Navar tracks are warm, fuzzy and joyful affairs. Opening with ‘Herinneringen’, roughly translated as memories, snappy tribal percussions offset deep pads and bass adlibs. Building in energy midway, warm bass and trippy sonics create a sonic wonderland of surrealism and escape.
‘A Sun Kissed Novel’ starts in ambience. Working through the gears for the first section, tension builds with the addition of a subby reese bass. Echoed keys and melodics keep the pace up before the main aquatic break that returns you to a calm restful place.
With ‘Timeshift’ we welcome back German maestro Heerhorst to the label with a brand new two tracker and a dazzling remix from WhoKnew. Heerhorst who has developed a universally loved unique style; consisting of dynamic, groovy, deep and hypnotic fusion of genres that perfectly fit in any kind of club or festival. His releases have always received high acclaim – with support across the board from the who is who is in the world of electronic music.
