To start off the week we have some the greatest melodic tracks from the past week…

Mike Griego returns to the label with the ‘Foreign Affair’ EP.

It’s been a subdued 2021 for Mike, who’s focused much of the year on studio work. But after a brace of releases for The Soundgarden and Replug, he’s back in the swing of things and his music means everything to us.

The EP opens with title track ‘Foreign Affair’, a bongo-led groover with silky smooth vibes. Huge kicks fill the low end as wafer-thin pads punctuate the deepness. Picking up pace midway, sonics and percussive layers increase the tempo before the main break, leading to an aquatic calm before powering into the second half. Next up, ‘Erini’ lays down a more traditional bass-led vibe. Deep and drenched in reverb, guitar licks light up the soundscape playfully melting into the percussive framework. A xylophone melody completes the picture. Finally, Mike drops a dub version of ‘Foreign Affair’ to round out the pack toughening up the original and putting more emphasis on the growling bass that syncopates the rhythm.

October the 15th we are glad to announce the Area Verde ADE Sampler 2021 compilation with Deft Whale, Wierd Noize and Onen on board.

October the 15th meet charismatic artist from Turkey Two-Gun to deliver his single ‘Arcturus’ on Pillar Label followed by powerful remixes by talented Spanish and Ukrainian producers Marco Bedini and Stas Underhill.

South American duo Who Else and Kamine Vox bring us the delicious debut of Gluten Free, with their new single ‘Columbia’. The title track of the Who Else and Kamine Vox single sets the tone with the opening track ‘Columbia’. A melodic techno track that fuses chords with sets of sequenced melodies and indie dance style percussion with a beautiful lead line that is sure to whet your musical appetite. Columbia” is a monstrous and scrumptious track, perfect for late night club entertainment and to get you in the mood for a big night out.

Closing the EP with the yummy “Ironia”, a musical statement, unified by a warm chocolate-flavored kick drum and atmospheric emotion, the track is a mix of warm and deep bass and grooves, swirling pads, and impressive effects that leave a strawberry taste on your palate. Clever sound work completes the picture and creates a cleverly crafted piece of musical art to top off this tasty two-track masterpiece from Who Else and Kamine Vox.

Having established their credentials by regularly releasing quality productions through various well-known labels, they have endeared themselves to a wide range of dance music lovers. This release comes from the heart, for the dance-loving soul. And remember, consume sugar with caution.

We are delighted to welcome back Ivan Berkowitz & Luke Segreto with their brand-new ‘Ritmo EP’ to ICONYC Noir. The talented duo has been a well-known entity within the progressive scene and have graced some of the world’s finest electronic music labels with their unique and lasting productions. The duo developed an inimitable style of music, full of ambiances, paired with despondent and warm dreamy patterns that guided them to where they are to today and embodies the sound they now personify. People regularly equate their productions as impervious and vivid in equal measures.

On their collaboration debut the duo leads with the outstanding opening title track ‘Ritmo’; a stunning driving melodic progressive house affair. The track utilizes a deep groove as foundation, underpinned by a profound bass and smooth synth chords that gradually ease their way to the summit. Unified by a relentless kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion, the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. Clever synth phrases complete the picture to create an ingeniously worked piece of art.

The melodic soundscapes of the accompanying track ‘Infinite’ rounds off this spectacular release. Ivan & Luke’s influences are immediately evident as subtle freeform concepts drift through percussive inspired instrumentations. Rippling melodies trip along a deep kick that anchors an auricular montage to create a special sonic infused moment, complemented by a subtle vocal that is going to leave a mark on your aural perception. Stunningly textured pads that warm the soul and a strong melodic infused bassline provide the base for this inspired piece to play out in delayed glory. Essential stuff!

With Ivan Berkowitz & Luke Segreto’s collaboration debut outing on ICONYC Noir, they take their talents a step further to round off this brilliant underground 2 track crowd pleaser. ‘Ritmo & Infinite’ are certain to find their way into the playlists of the big-boys brigade. Another essential ICONYC Noir release from the heart, for the dance loving soul. Not to be missed!

Dan & Dan make a stunning debut on the label with their “Faded Angel” release featuring a full extended mix & an radio edit of the track.

The track is a well crafted and relentless slice of pure melodic progressive house. The crisp beats slowly build up along with various percussive elements as well as lush melodies, and warm synth lines that keep the tension rising as some vocals slowly appear in the mix and give the extra touch to this marvellous musical journey.
