Today we have some of the techno releases from the last week you need to listen to…
Reset Robot makes a return to his label Whistleblower for a two-track techno EP made in collaboration with Sousk.
One of the UK’s most revered producers, Reset Robot is an eclectic artist who has featured techno tracks on labels ranging from Adam Beyer’s Drumcode to Scuba’s Hotflush, and house tracks on labels such as Sasha’s Last Night On Earth and the iconic Mobilee Records.
Along with his many solo tracks, Reset Robot has also collaborated with many of electronic music’s most influential artists including Alan Fitzpatrick and Christian Smith.
Sousk is the latest artist to collaborate with Reset Robot, but he has also made many solo releases on other imprints including DJ Hell’s International DeeJay Gigolo Records and Tiefschwarz’s Souvenir Music.
“Pendant” opens the release with its dystopian atmosphere that shrouds a hypnotic synth and swelling pads, underpinned by mechanical percussion rhythms to deliver an intense dance floor experience.
“Riser” builds suspense with its atmospheric intro before launching into the percussion that’s overlaid with majestic synth lines, which combine to create cinematic techno with dark undertones.
“Our soul sign reveals a lot about our character. The two tracks give you insights into our personalities. In their typology, which starts from our typical elements of Heerhorst’s deep baselines and catchy melodies, Slin Bourgh’s powerful and energetic style & PETER PAHN’s marching and driving sound and his escalating mood. For this EP we met in Hamburg especially to be able to work on the project together in Heerhorst’s studio. After three intensive days wich went into the nights. We’re really proud to present you our two tracks “Sings of the Soul” and “4 To the Floor” which will be out on the 30th of July on CODEX Recordings!
“Tribute to Cali” Ana Zerakiel’s new release is a special collaboration with “Made In Brussels” label head, Andrea Signore. Following Ana Zerakiel’s successful release, “Space City”, making the top Beatport charts, her new release holds the resonance of similar Sci-Fi hybrid futuristic cosmic techno with spiritual rhythmic trance vibes, powerfully blended with Andrea Signore’s signature style of monolith synth’s and electric expression of melancholy and psychological release which will be out on the 30th of July.
The techno track ‘Cali’ was created in response to the heartbreaking protests in Columbia earlier this year. A country with beautiful people, and huge love and support for techno, a social media post wasn’t enough both artists felt. They decided to create a powerful unrelenting magical techno track to give power and energy back to the fight for peace, and equality, and to show support that the whole world is with them in this fight for universal peace.
On 30 July, meet Argentina based dj Nico Banfi to deliver his two-track release – ‘Take me’ at IAMT Red!
“For Take Me I wanted to make something powerful but no so fast, so i put the track on 127 BPM, i created the kick and percussions with fills, and then proceeded to make the other instruments and FX. I wanted to put a powerful synth that matches with the rest of the track and when i hit that one synth that i liked, the others parts came to my head and the track was nearly done. The process was fast since i knew where i wanted to go with this track.
Surreal was diferent, it is what i call a “Frankenstein track”, a lot of samples and parts of old projects or sounds that i did in the past that i liked and keeped on favorites, when i mixed all of this parts together i realized what i wanted to do with this one. It is planned for a beginning or a close of a DJ SET since is a more melodic and not so heavy track “
Enjoy!
