To start off the week we have some the greatest melodic tracks from the past week…

Mariano Mellino returns to the label with another stunning EP.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Mariano is one of the fast rising producers in Argentina. Influenced by the cream of progressive house, his style has become a regular feature on high profile labels such as Balance Music, Plattenbank and Asymmetric Recordings.

‘Toro’ opens with a confident tribal groove. Building in energy, melodics and airy pads hang from the percussive framework delicately giving the track a sense of space and wide-screen cinematics. The lead line is abrasive and adds buckets of tension to the main drop. Like a bull in a china shop!

‘Kon Kon’ is a more reserved beast. Opening with a percussive energy, echoes of melodics punctuate before the main earworm synth fades into earshot. Meditative and calming, its hypnotic vibe satisfies and recalibrates the mind.

Next up on the Forensic reboot is the vocals of the very talented Paul Piper on our labels in-house Yellowknife production. With a brooding bass and melody lines that frame the vocal perfectly all mixed down in analogue glory by Jesse Skeens.

Michael and Levan, Stiven Rivic take the vocal down a distinctive and beautiful dark path with twisted synth lines. Their remix and dub are standout recordings in their own right and we are very happy to welcome these guys to the label.

Rauschhaus has reworked this to nothing short of an Anthem. We are talking ‘end of night’ , hug your mates musicality in both vocal and instrumental versions. Knew he’d deliver but had no idea just how good this would be. Sublime.

Hope you all dig it as much as we do.

With ‘Storm’ we welcome ANMA & Aves Volare to ICONYC featuring a couple of fantastic remixes courtesy of Sean & Dee and Eric Rose who bring us their take on the duo’s new single. ANMA & Aves Volare have developed a universally loved unique style; a dynamic, groovy, deep and hypnotic fusion of genres that perfectly fits in any kind of club or open-air festival. The duo’s releases have always received high acclaim – with support across the board from the who is who is in the world of electronic music.

ANMA & Aves Volare know a thing or two when it comes to mind blowing productions, as they deliver an irresistible track that kicks things off nicely with the melancholic vibes setting the tone. They roam effortlessly through progressive inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top of the driving percussive foundation. The duo takes it up a notch by introducing Aves Volare’s vocal work, whilst upping the flow with cleverly programmed drumming and his trademark FX elements, without destroying the essence of the main groove. Their work deserves to be branded ‘essential’ in any sense of the word.

On remix duty we welcome back label all-stars Sean & Dee after their hugely successful recent releases. Sean & Dee who are known for their driving and refined sound, keep the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general drive all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear yet sounding totally fresh – This massive touch up takes the energy quantities up a level and increases the drive with stripped back and lucid elements, before the energetic groove creates a blanket of warmth that will put a smile on your face.

The second remix comes courtesy of Eric Rose, who brings a more uplifting edge to ‘Storm’. His rework creates a good feel vibe from the word go, as the atmospheric and driving vibe keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces that keeps building to culminate into a lovely melodic groover. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a stunning glow.

With the talent on offer, ANMA & Aves Volare’s ‘Storm’ manages to deliver a message of sustained musical relevance in emphatic fashion to warm the soul. Not to be missed!

Omaar Musal ‘Emotions’ gets to shine once again.
‘Emotions’ sees three delicious treatments enter the remixes EP. From the Niren-G , Oguz Demiroz and Mettie Chandler in rendition to the vivid and emotive remixes, this soulful gem of a record now comes in fourfold …

Imar delivers a dynamic excursion into his latest soundscapes with a new EP. ‘Arena’ leads us in with alluring vocals and a deep dark groove. The second track on the EP is ‘Blackfield’ . This collab with Quake sets a more mellow atmosphere and gives a harmonious finish as the closing tune of this 2 track release.

April the 9th meets Russian artist and dj – Redspace to deliver his track to Area Verde!
It was New Year’s bustle, but artist’s inner self demanded to stop all this and plunge into himself. Thus, after several days of hard work, this track appeared, which helped to find and express this beautiful winter fairy tale in a few minutes of the track. The track is imbued with the energy of freedom and nightlife, which will help you relax and get your dose of serotonin.
