Subtract boss Anton Tumas debut on the label with his full release, ‘Secret’ supported by a stand out remix from Luca Bacchetti.
DJ, promoter and label owner, Tumas, is the epitome of laser focus. Cali-based, he’s grown his brand, Subtract from the ground up, and made a huge name for himself in the local scene. Signed to Balance Music via Hernan’s incredible 2017 mix compilation, Anton is a talent artist finding his stride.
‘Secret’ is subtlety personified. Deep dubby kicks and thick lofi atmosphere wrap you in a cloak of melancholy, organic plucks and warm pads envelop and familiar feels abound. Teaming up with Treavor Moontribe next, ‘Razor Road’ begins in ambience. Building tension menacingly, the arrival of the kick ushers in a dark energy that is impossible to resist. Deep, powerful and utterly beguiling. Finally, Endless label owner, Luca Bacchetti adds his unique perspective to ‘Secret’ respecting the originals vibe but adding nuanced bass and percussive touches.
