Posted by We wanted to give you a heads up that the admins on your artists’ Facebook Pages are required to complete Page Publishing Authorization. This is a security protocol that is in place to try to protect public figures with large followings on Facebook from being hacked. You can learn more about this policy and how to complete the authentication process here.
The authentication process requires the admins to:
(1) turn on 2-factor authentication to keep the account secure, and
(2) turn on location services to confirm what country the posts are coming from.
Please note that each admin is required to do this and it cannot be done by one person for the entire team. Please encourage all your admins to complete steps 1 and 2 listed above!
If admins do not proactively complete these security steps, the admins will or may have already received an in-app notification on Facebook prompting them to do so. If they do not complete the steps within 21-days of getting that notification they will lose posting privileges on the Page until completing the steps.
