Motive regular and prolific collaborator KPD returns to the label for a new release, this time bringing fellow Spaniard Jazzman Wax with him on their debut collaboration ‘From Chicago’.
Fresh from a number of collaborations with house legend David Penn, KPD joins Jazzman Wax and brings their trademark sounds to the forefront with a funked out, bass-driven house number. WIth a soulful groove and a catchy vocal sample, this one hits right in all the best places. Dive in and play it loud!

For the first release, we wanted it to sound like
Classic House but with some sort of cinematic touch
on it. DJWILD, known not only as one of the most
interesting Portuguese House Music producers,
but also for his awarded Motion Picture
Original Soundtracks (winner of “Best Musical
Contribution for an European Film” award
for “Fatal Sin”) mixed in a brilliant way a typical
303 acid bassline with a subtle but effective
strings arrangement and synths.
Josh Hunter has smashed it yet again with his pumping house Remix of the new Kami Foxx.
Josh goes for it with a building bassline and cut-up vocals that carry the track through with great energy via a rock tight groove. Slammin’ house vibes from Josh Hunter and a really useful DJ tool.
London based Portamento returns to NYLO with a wonderful slice of deep and moody house for the ages. The tracks on offer are a perfect paradigm of how modern house music should sound like with its sweltering beats, rolling deep bass and great filtered synth provisions, that create a provocative ambiance.
Portamento opens the EP with the title track ‘Headrace’, a great track to warm the heart, which stages great sampling work by creating different climates all building around a killer groove, suave acid extracts, tasty bass, synth chords, great vocal snippets, before releasing into the melodic hook interlaced with contagious rhythms. Essential stuff!
